The Activities department has a lot to offer, ice skating, crafts, babysitting, games, Movies, serving the guests around the pool and a lot more. If you like to have fun whilst you are working, you can do so as a Recreational Attendant at The Abbey Resort.
Job Description:
REQUIRED TRAINING/
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Prior Recreational experience preferred, but not necessary
First Aid Certification
CPR Certification
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Able to stand/sit for extended periods of time
Good communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
Command of the English language, written and verbal
Must have good attendance and punctuality
Must be alert to the customers’ needs
Must be able to work weekends and holidays
Able to perform several varying tasks simultaneously
Basic mathematical skills
Energetic & Enthusiastic
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
Lead and conduct activities for children and adults (i.e., Kids Night Out, Kids Zone, etc.). Supervise and be responsible for children age’s 4-12 years of age. Keeping work area clean and organized. Being able to instruct guest on resort activities and facility locations. Lead activities for convention groups when assigned. Take reservations for activities. Responsible for a bank. Rent out and process payment for recreational programs and equipment. Punches in and reports to the Lead Activities Attendant, Assistant Recreation Manager and/or Health Club Manager on time and in full uniform for each shift. Obtains lead activities/manager’s approval prior to punching out. Performs other related duties as assigned by the Lead Activites Attendant, Assistant Recreation Director and/or Health Club Manager.
