Per Diem Pharmacist - Local and Traveling

Job Responsibilities

• Establishing or maintaining patient profiles, including lists of medications taken by individual patients
• Maintaining proper storage and security conditions for drugs
• Answering telephones, responding to questions or requests by patient and Pharmacy Technicians
• Prepackaging bulk medicines, filling bottles with prescribed medications, and typing and affixing labels
• Mixing pharmaceutical preparations, according to written prescriptions
• Verifying prescriptions and counseling
• Assisting customers by answering simple questions, locating items, or referring them to the pharmacist for medication information

Specific Per Diem Pharmacist- Local and Traveling requirements:

• Area: Ability to work in the Missouri Valley area or travel
• Licensure Requirements: Must have valid, open and active Iowa license.
• Education: RPH
• Years of Experience: 2 years of experience in a community retailsetting
• Schedule: Varies
• Length of Assignment: PRN - Ongoing
• Pay: DOE
• Background/ Drug Requirements: Ability to successfully complete background check and drug screen
