The FCA Quality organization is currently seeking a highly skilled, solutions-oriented Quality Network Specialist to join the Quality team at the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant in Sterling Heights, MI. The Quality Network Specialist is responsible for creating, implementing and sustaining vehicle control plans to prevent the outflow of defects to customer. The selected individual will manage cross-functional teams and gain valuable experience / knowledge in a broad spectrum of powertrain automotive engineering, manufacturing, and quality.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Creates, implements and sustains vehicle control plans to prevent the outflow of defects to customers
  • Performs root cause analysis of quality issues, often using advanced problem solving tools
  • Recommends and implements simple cost-effective error/mistake proofing strategies
  • Analyze quality data from internal and external indicators to ensure calibration
  • Perform plant compliance verification and process reviews
  • Manage engineering changes working with cross-functional team to ensure timely execution
  • Conduct product evaluation tests to ensure robustness of product or process change before full implementation
  • Work with engineering and suppliers to resolve issues that are not plant controllable
  • Support manufacturing facilities with launch readiness assessments and implementation methodology for compliance to requirements
  • Serve as liaison between plants and engineering
  • Conduct training (development, implementation) for plant personnel on quality requirements
  • Recommend and implement new initiatives to improve plant processes
  • Analyze quality data from internal and external indicators to ensure calibration
  • Develop inspection standards and best methods for performing inspection
  • Complete World Class Manufacturing projects
