Restaurant Manager

Timberwood Tap House is a new restaurant in the 5th Street Station shopping center. We've been open for a year and a half and are growing rapidly. We're the sister restaurant to Timberwood Grill, located on the north side of town, which has been around for almost 13 years, so we already have an established reputation for excellence in town. (But we think we're way cooler, just don't tell them that!) Either way, we're looking for a front of house manager. Is it you?

Job requirements may include, but not be limited to:

• Creating an environment of remarkable customer service
• Coaching a staff of up to 20 servers, hosts, and bartenders per shift
• Managing a total staff of over 50 employees
• Checking staff cleaning and sidework duties
• Promoting teamwork and morale during high volume shifts
• Taking beer, wine, and liquor inventory and ordering product
• Monitoring vendors and deliveries to ensure accuracy
• Keeping the restaurant clean, safe, and organized through cleaning tasks and health code compliance
• Making sure all food and beverage served is up to our high standards
• Maintaining food and labor costs at acceptable levels
• Opening the restaurant and preparing staff for service
• Handling nightly closeout duties, preparing a deposit, and securing the restaurant

This is a team-oriented position. You will be working closely with other managers and owners to achieve our goals, so you must be a team player. You'll also be coaching your staff, teaching them how to be as awesome as possible, so patience and a strong sense of leadership are crucial.

We're looking for someone who loves meeting new people and building personal relationships with guests. This is one of the most important aspects of the Timberwood philosophy, so you should truly enjoy this part of the job. If you don't really love talking to people, you're not going to be a good fit.

You should also be calm under fire. While we've been open for over a year, we're growing rapidly as we establish our reputation and build a loyal customer base. You'll be constantly on the move and surrounded by new and exciting challenges and learning opportunities. If you're the right person, we also have opportunities for advancement.
