2nd Shift Machine Operator 1

$13 - $16 per hour depending on experience

20 miles south of Fort Worth

Monday through Friday, 4:00 PM to 12:00 midnight, with overtime frequently offered

Work area is air conditioned

Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform basic machine set up including checks for revision of program, with correct material and quantity. Set initiation position for machine home and tooling offsets.
  • Have a basic understanding of CNC tooling and their applications.
  • Interpret engineering drawings with a basic understanding.
  • Read and interpret micrometers, calipers and thread gauges properly.
  • Perform daily machine maintenance, including checking machine fluid levels, lifting devices for wear and tear, cleaning chips and debris from area and notify supervisor of potential issues on tooling requirements.
  • Follow quality control standards.
  • Apply ISO standards.
  • Maintain a log at the machine, record alarms and issues, provide clear written and verbal communications at the end of your shift.
  • Accurately complete required paperwork.
  • Comply with safety policies and procedures.
Experience / Skill Requirements:
  • Experience doing basic CNC machining. A certificate is not required but it is a plus.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions and able to write simple notes.
  • Must be able to do basic math.
  • Able and willing to pass a urine drug screen.
  • Clean background, Class C misdemeanors will be considered.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must have consistently good attendance.
  • Must have a good attitude and work hard.
  • Must get along well with co-workers and enjoy being part of a team.
  • Must be able to stand continually during work.
  • Must be willing to work overtime when required.
  • Must be able to lift 60 pounds.
  • Must have steel toed shoes or boots.
