The addition of a new Development Center to our global Product Development and Engineering network will bring new and exciting opportunities with our expansion into electronics systems and innovation, and on advanced development work including integrated design, development prototype, and function & durability validation. As a Project Engineer II you will be the principal interface between the ESO Integration team and the Innovation team to coordinate all system integration to industrialize components related APPs and mechatronic subsystem-CTRL to conform with production level.
Responsibilities include:
Generate and develop product improvement, develop validation and introduction plan and guarantee manufacturability and/or integration readiness
Support the product system engineer in releasing the new feature release including plant (EOL), SQA support
Generate EOL and plant quality parameter documentation to minimize product costs, guarantee production quality and meet product performance
Lead technical integration tests of advanced sensing components (both HW and SW) to deliver future automation solutions
Manage mechatronic system readiness in line with vehicle breakdown covering the Product Marketing / Manufacturability needs
Manage the Industrialization phase of new technology in line with upfront-agreed development schedule
Verify implementation meets the requirements for vehicle electronic control systems and supports PV to generate test plans
Maintain the available test ware, like prototype units and static simulation
Provide regular progress updates to direct manager, INOV and/or ESO managers on integration readiness
Update test-tracking tools on daily basis to drive cross-functional team to completion
Issue change request for APP and feature interface changes in the SW tracking tool
Verify system diagrams and any API documentation with final integration
Ensure the use of engineering standards, methodologies and global product development processes into engineering team's daily work tasks
Coordinate co-design activities with suppliers
Support the development planning in line with GPD process (priorities, testing schedule, prototype definition)
The qualified candidate will have:
Bachelors of Science in Engineering
6+ years of experience in project management
3+ years of experience in mechatronics systems development for construction equipment, agriculture equipment, automotive or off-highway equipment
The preferred candidate will have:
Masters Degree preferred
Experience or knowledgeable of Global Product Development Process in AG/CE or automotive engineering
Able to use and understand network diagrams and repository tools similar to Vector, CANalyzer, Tortoise SVN
Able to work successfully in a strong cross-functional Product development team environment
A leader in resolution of technical issues as well as driving cross- functional team to deliver solutions in time
Able to think independently in order to resolve issues and excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Experience with complete electronic vehicle systems architecture and software
Experience in design for manufacturing in the field of HW design and software integration
Experience in the area of Precision Farming and Machine automation
Proficient with MS office suite of software (Word, Power Point, Excel)
