Pharmacy Delivery Driver - Full-time / Part-time

The Delivery Driver supports the store by delivering products to various locations throughout the division and surrounding area as needed. This position can spend up to 50% of their time acting as delivery driver while the remaining hours are spent in the employee’s assigned home department.

• Build relationships, use resources to go above and beyond customers' expectations and make customers a priority while driving safely to all scheduled delivery locations
• Comply with Wegmans Policies and Work Rules related to driving company vehicles, as well as, federal and state laws (Wegmans Guideline for Driving Company Vehicles)

Product (What We Do)

• Comply with all Wegmans policies, state and federal laws regarding privacy including HIPAA regulations
• Prioritize deliveries and complete them efficiently while representing Wegmans both inside and outside our stores
• Properly handle products, use equipment, keep accurate logs and follow sanitation practices in accordance with food and human safety guidelines and Simplification 5S procedures

Work Environment

• Work includes driving, walking, lifting and carrying for up to 4 hours without a break, bending, climbing and repetitive hand and arm movements, along with interaction with customers and co-workers. Work involves travel to various customer locations. Work also involves seasonal outdoor temperatures and weather. The average weight range of items lifted is 5-15 pounds with a maximum weight lifted of 40 pounds occasionally. May be exposed to various allergens (things that may cause an allergic reaction).

Employment at Wegmans may be contingent upon your completion and our evaluation of a drug screen physical and/or criminal background check. All Applicants will be screened; only those closely matching the job posting will be interviewed. This position also requires driving a Wegmans Delivery vehicle. Candidates must submit a Driver's Abstract & Criminal Background Check. Additionally, anyone driving a non-CDL type company vehicle (i.e. box van or stake body truck) may be subject to evidence of satisfactory completion of a recognized driver training program.
