The successful Software Test Engineer will have the following:

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related STEM degree. Or a comparable amount of education and experience.
• 5 years of relative experience to include programming or developing automation scripts in Python.
• 5+ years of QA/Testing experience
• 3+ years of QA automation experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience testing user interfaces for client-server applications in web browsers, mobile apps and/or embedded devices.
• Knowledge of Android, iOS, HTML, Linux, OS X, and/or Windows.
• Experience working in an Agile environment and working directly with development team.
• Proven experience developing test cases and test plans.
• Experience using creative skills to effectively break code

SlingTV is looking for a dynamic Senior Software Test Engineer.  The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of programming basics in order to develop automation scripts for testing the SlingTV app, have a proven track record of creating thorough test case and test plans, and utilizing analytical skill in order to find defects and help troubleshoot those issues.

Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain test strategies based on documented requirements
• Identify automation testing needs and design a quality strategy
• Work with the engineering team to build appropriate test environments and test harnesses
• Ensure comprehensive test coverage of unit tests
• Spend 10% of your time validating code and 90% of your time looking for ways to break the code
