About this job
Position Summary: Primary focus of position is as a material handler either in the warehouse, production, or packaging. Knowledgeable in various material handling activities including work order picking, movement of production component inventory, production cell set-ups, finished goods packaging, and staging of completed finished goods bins or pallets for forklift movement between buildings.
6:30am-3:00pm
Responsibilities:
Coordinate staging of production work orders and components to support production schedule
Complete and submit to warehouse personnel in a timely manner requisition of consignment component inventory as required including delivery to production
Perform data entry "move" transactions within the AS400 computer system
Generate needed (generic) bar code labels as required
Identify process inefficiencies, provide applicable solutions and assist the Lead in implementation
Fill work orders in the warehouse as part of backfilling in the warehouse
Accept and sign for deliveries including receipt of incoming material/goods, creation of receiving paperwork, and locating of stock to its proper location as part of backfilling in the warehouse
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements
Qualifications:
•Effective time management and organizational skills
•Effective, clear, and concise written and oral communication skills
•Ability to effectively interface with all levels of company employees in a professional business accepted manner
•Ability to perform basic data entry transactions using computerized manufacturing system. Understands Microsoft Office applications such as (Word and Excel), as well as Outlook (e-mail).
•Ability to learn the safe and efficient operational use of standard warehouse equipment
•Ability to climb stairs and ladders
•High school diploma/GED certificate with a minimum of 1 - 2 years related experience in material handling, shipping, receiving, warehouse and/or inventory management in a manufacturing environment.
•Forklift and powered pallet-jack certification
•Physical labor position, located exclusively within a warehouse and manufacturing shop environment, with minor exposure/interface to an office type setting
•Lifting requirements: up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Ability to climb stairs and ladders
