Job Description:
- Candidates are responsible for operating the coating line which includes finding the right steel and paint to load into the machine in order to produce the right paint pale.
- The company has thousands of types of steel and thousands of types of paint. Accuracy is extremely important, the steel and paint have a number system that they will use to find the right ones.
- Candidates will be responsible for loading a flat sheet of steel into the machine - if not done properly, the steel will get dents and things that will put it into scrap since they cannot seal the steel properly to turn it into a pale.
- They will also have to load the paint into the machine.
- They will ensure its operating properly with no scrap (less than 3%).
- They will also work with micrometers and calipers to make sure the steel is to size and setup properly.
- Depending on the pale they are making that day, the machine needs to be setup differently which will be taught.
- They will be changing out sprockets, rollers, and cleaning blades.
Work Environment:
This is a manufacturing facility that takes pride in their product. Quality and culture are very important to them.
Shift:
Will start on 1st shift and eventually move to 2nd or 3rd shift
Qualifications:
- Candidates need some sort of machine operation experience
- Mechanical ability
- Candidate needs to have good job tenure with past companies
