Machine Operator

Almco has 3 immediate opening for machine operators/button pushers (1 Days, 2 Nights). Candidates don't have to have specific machine operation or stamping press experience but must be ok with working in a manufacturing environment. They will be in charge of operating 1 of the 20 presses Almco has ranging from 150 ton to 2000 ton. They will work in teams of up to 4 where they place raw material on the press. All of the workers must go back and put their hands on the sensor that will then make the press operate. This is a safety precaution. Once a part comes out of the press candidates will visually inspect the part and could potentially need to use a gauge to make sure the part is to speck.

Candidats will work 40 hours a week and the opportunity to work overtime on Fridays. There is a lot of room for growth once they move up from the machine operator. They can go into being a full time press operator and even move into the apprenticeshp program for tool and die which are all pay raises. Almco offers a shift premium of $0.25 for 2nd shift. They get 2 10 min paid breaks and a 30 min unpaid lunch. After the initial 90 day contract, candidates will get a raise to $12.44.
