Seeking an Electrical Engineer to work for a mechanical and electrical consulting engineering firm in Lansing, MI.
The firm works with business owners to design and document fire protection, power distribution, lighting, communications, life safety and energy management systems for new and renovated facilities. They emphasize coordination and the interface of architectural and engineering disciplines. Their experience includes projects for educational, retail, industrial, health care and commercial facilities.
The Electrical Engineer will serve as a project manager and will be responsible for client interface, technical project design and internal project coordination as well as project coordination with consultants and local authorities. The Electrical Engineer will also be involved with construction phase activities.
Responsibilities:
- Run projects from start to finish, including completing site visits, designing, drafting and overseeing completion.
- Projects can range anywhere from short 2 to 3 day designs to 2 to 3 month projects, where the engineer will oversee the design process from start to finish.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of AutoCAD experience
- 5+ years of building power and lighting design experience
- Electrical Engineering Degree
- REVIT experience preferred
- PE License in the state of MI preferred
