Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Mechanic- (Fitter/Welder)
BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the guidance of supervision, the fitter/welder mechanic
repairs/fabricates heat exchangers using burning, fitting and welding procedures.
MAJOR DUTIES:
Gathers the needed tools, reviews drawings and specifications needed to begin work.
Set up job based on shop practices and safety procedures.
Burn, fits, welds pieces to form the component to specified dimensions.
Grinds welds after completion of welding.
Assist in training of lesser skilled mechanics (fitters/welders).
Performs the assigned tasks in a safe manner, avoiding all unsafe practices.
Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
KNOWLEDGE: High School Diploma preferred; knowledge of fitting/welding techniques required, O.J.T. Satisfactory.
SKILL: Blue print reading, read and write English language and ability to pass ASME welding test. Perform basic shop math.
Pay Rate: DOE
