Registered Nurse (RN) - Full-time / Part-time

Seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for an opportunity in the Utilization management department at a manage care company.

QUALIFICATIONS

• At least three to four years clinical nursing experience.
• Acute care experience preferred.
• Experience in prior authorization and case management.
• Current RN license in the state of Florida.
• Proficient with computer systems.

POSITION DETAILS

• Review requests for prior authorization of medical services such as surgeries, pain management, skilled care and specialty procedures for Medicaid members in the state of Florida.
• Review provider requests through fax or telephone to ensure medical necessity for services requiring preauthorization.
• Utilize nationally recognized criteria to determine medical necessity of services requested
• Refer provider requests appropriately to Medical Director when medical necessity of services is not met based on the criteria.
• Act as a clinical resource to referral staff.
• Required to understand medical necessity requirements and handle between 25-30 cases per week.
• Other responsibilities in within the position.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• Location: Orlando, FL
• 5 - 6 month contract to hire (After 5-6 months this will most likely be a permanent position)
• Start Date: July 2018
• Schedule: Monday - Friday (8ish - 5ish)
• Compensation: $30.00 - $35.00/per hour.
