Hosts and Hostesses are responsible for greeting all guests as they enter the restaurant, and seating them promptly or providing an accurate wait time.  Work in conjuction with servers and the kitchen staff to alert them of guest arrivals or upcoming reservations, and to relay any changes or delays to the appropriate guests.  Join our team at the DoubleTree, and enjoy the perks of being an employee of both Vail Resorts and Hilton Hotels!  This includes a Free Epic Pass for yourself & your dependents, Hilton Hotels discounts around the world, restaurant and retail/rental discounts, free leadership classes, career growth opportunities within both companies, and so much more!

Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:

• Ensure that all guests have the highest quality food and beverage experience possible by providing exceptional hosting skills.
• Manage and confirm reservations over the phone, take reservations from walk-ins.
• Bring beverages to guests as needed.
• Monitor the flow/pace of the dining room.
• Take room service orders and ensure orders are recieved.  
• Support servers/server attendants when necessary. 
• Acknowledge departing guests with a kind remark. 
• Assist the DoubleTree Food & Beverage Team in creating a profitable department that is environmentally responsible.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to communicate effectively in English both written and verbal - required. 
• Must be able to stand for 4-5 hours at a time - required. 
• Must be willing to work early mornings, weekends, and holiday - required. 
• Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment - required. 
• Previous Host / Hostess experience - preferred. 
• Familiarity with Aloha POS system - preferred.
