Field Technician / Driller's Helper

This person will be assisting Geologist or driller in the field and the office with soil borings, soil sampling, monitoring of well installations, rock coring, direct-push sampling. Will be reporting findings and collecting and sorting field samples for lab. Will be replacing drill augers and additional duties directed by the lead driller.

100% in the field. Will be exposed to different climates, hot, cold, rain etc. Jeans and steel toe boots.

Must be willing to travel. Travel could be 3-4 days, but there will be some projects that will require the candidate to be on site for 2 weeks at a time. All expenses will be paid by the company plus per diem and time and a half for any OT. Must be good with working outdoors.

Must Haves:

-1+ year experience working on construction sites or other outdoor work experience is requirement
-Valid Drivers License
-Ability to physically lift 45 lbs
-Will take someone with a geology degree. Reliability is the biggest struggle they have.

Must have great attendance and be punctual. Will be expecting to be punctual everyday, take direct feedback and direction from driller, and must be expected to assist driller on their own without guided assistance within 6 months.
