The Advanced Terrain Park Attendant is a labor intensive position responsible for construction, maintenance, testing and repair of all features in addition to safety awareness, etiquette and guest relations within the terrain parks and half pipe.  Daily responsibilities include opening and closing the terrain park, ensuring all signage is visible, testing features, and assessing risk and liability throughout the day.  The Advanced Terrain Park Attendant will perform these duties at the highest level and also function as a backup to the Lead and Supervisor in the organization of daily workload.  The Advanced Terrain Park Attendant will provide exceptional guest service and work outdoors in all weather conditions for the entire day. This is a 10 hour per day position, with some overtime expected during events.

 

Responsibilities for all Terrain Park Attendants: 

  • Perform high level of maintenance on snow and jib features.
  • Daily inspection of all Terrain Park features.
  • Communicate with and assist Ski Patrol to properly handle incidents and injuries within the terrain park.
  • Educating guests on Terrain Park safety and etiquette.
  • Fence/barrier maintenance; trash and snow removal.
  • Install and maintain park closures and signage.
  • Assist with terrain park special events.
  • Assist in the training of Entry and Intermediate Terrain Park Attendants.
  • Function as backup to the Lead / Supervisor, provide advice and assistance with organization of daily operations, and perform all duties in their absence.
  • Responsible for feature testing at the highest level.
  • Provide a high level of quality feedback on features in every park daily.
  • Other duties as assigned as necessary  

 

Intermediate: Terrain Park Attendant Requirements: 

  • High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
  • 1-2 years prior Terrain Park experience preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Fluent in all aspects of English language and Terrain Park verbiage
  • Adhere to all company and department safety standards.
  • Ability to anticipate the progressive development of terrain parks
  • Must have own ski/ride equipment
  • Must be able to ski/ride at a level 8 ability level
  • Must be advanced or expert skier/rider, able to ride 95% of Terrain Park features.
  • Must be familiar with hand power tools, use of rakes, shovels etc.
  • Heavy lifting of 75lbs will occur regularly.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work days, nights, and graveyard shifts.
  • Must be able to work flexible schedule.
