Hotel Operations Manager

We are in the process of opening a brand new hotel and are searching for a really strong candidate that would love to manage it. Our facility will be located in a thriving location. We project a busy end of the year and will need someone that can handle many responsibilities. Our guests are our biggest fans and we want to make sure they want to stay again. Responsibilities:
  • Assist and manage the hotel operations which can include, Guest Satisfaction, Budget, Labor, Maintenance, and Brand Marketing.
  • Interview, hire, coach, and counsel employees in the efficient operations of their department.
  • Make sure your staff is always aware of company standards and policies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the Property Owner, Management, and Company.
  • Weekly forecasting and planning of operating staffing and cost expenditures to correspond to forecasted sales and costs. Develop action plans to maximize average rate.
  • Ensure you and your staff are compliant with health and safety regulations and licensing laws.
  • Handle daily cash deposits, auditing daily reports, managing accounts receivable, and other administrative tasks.
  • Make sure the entire hotel is clean and organized and up to code.
  • Maintain the P&L statements.
  • Promote and market the business, either through Social Media, Networking Events, or Grass Roots.
  • Set and achieve sales goals and profit targets.
  • Ensure events and conferences run smoothly.
  • Ensure the safety of your guest and employees are held to the highest standard.
  • Through leadership and example, establish a friendly, courteous, service-oriented staff that is exhibited by all hotel employees. Establish and implement guest service for all departments, periodically review, and identify problems and corrective actions.

Requirements:
  • Must have 3 years of Hotel Management experience or have graduated with your Hotel Management Degree.
  • Must be available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week in case of emergency. Must also be available to work weekends and evenings as needed.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Must be proficient in time management; and have the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Must be able to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature, with implementing deadlines and/or establishing time frames.
Education Requirements: Associates Degree of higher

Hotel Location: Smyrna, GA

Salary Range: $40,000 - $50,000 DOE
