Mascot/Ripperoo - Ski and Ride School - Winter Seasonal - Keystone Resort - Full-time / Part-time

This position involves playing a support role for the resort events team, and mascot responsibilities. Ripperoo, the resort mascot, is responsible for promoting Keystone Resort through interactions with resort guests and the community, including: greeting guests, and entertaining children.

Job Requirements:

Resort animation, including but not limited to:

Event Support Responsibilities

• Support events staff with logistics at other winter events as needed
• Assist with staging, set up/tear down for events

• Assist with onsite event production and clean up as necessary
• Moving/transporting event materials
• General knowledge of Keystone such as upcoming events, locations, products, etc.
• Assist in other duties as assigned

Mascot Responsibilities

• Greet guests and entertain at the base area and on-mountain
• Meet and greet children and families at  Kidtopia events, and Ski and Ride School 
• Be animated with high energy and willing to entertain all guests
• Walk and dance in character during  weekly parade
• Attend other events in character as needed
• Be comfortable in a confining suit that is very warm
• Stay in character while in costume without speaking
• Use the character to help entertain children while they learn mountain safety and develop skiing/riding skills in a fun environment
• Must be available for promotional events and activities, including posing for photographs
• Rotate between Mascot Character and Mascot Assistant
• Maintain and clean mascot costume and accessories
• Enjoy working with children and maintain a customer-service mindset

Job Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent - required
• Able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English - required
• Min intermediate skier (level 7 or higher) - required
• Experience working with children - required
• Desire to work with young children - required
• Willing to work outside in a winter mountain conditions - required
• Able to work weekends and holidays - required
• Able to work through the end of the season
• Able to lift 50lbs
