Maintenance Crew - Winter Seasonal - Stowe Resort - Full-time / Part-time

The Base Area Operations Department is seeking dedicated and personable Maintenance Crew to maintain and oversee our Spruce Plaza Base Area operations.  The primary focus for this position will be maintaining the appearance of Spruce Plaza, loading dock waste stream and ice rink operations and ensuring guest activity in the area is a being maintained in a safe and positive manner.   

Duties include (but are not limited to):

• Perform Plaza and Rink requirements to accepted standards. 
• Keep the Plaza grounds organized and free of litter and debris.
• Keep the Loading Dock area organized and free of litter and debris.
• Complete all work in a professional manner.
• Keep all work areas and job sites clean and orderly with consideration for company property and guest experience as well as the safety of co-workers and guests.
• Professional and consistent communication with co-workers.
• Obtain work assignments and schedules from Team Lead.
• Report any needed repairs and projects to Team Lead. 
• Provide outstanding Guest Service.

Qualifications:

• Basic education preferred.
• Read, understand, and execute job specific SOP’s.
• Good customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s licenses and ability to conform to SMR/Vail’s Driver Qualification Program.
• Ability to work flexible hours (weekends / holidays / nights).
• Ability to work as part of a team to get the job done.
• Ability to perform physical activities that include climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping.
• Ability to perform heavy work (defined as exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects).
• Ability to operate a commercial tractor and mechanized tools.

This is a seasonal full time position available to start immediately and work through until mid-April 2019, although for the right candidate there is the opportunity for ongoing work through the summer season.  We are looking for enthusiastic team players to join us in providing our guests with a superior recreational experience and an attitude of constant improvement and excellence.
