We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor II for our First Quality Retail Services, LLC located in King of Prussia, PA.

This position requires supervising a group of 40 to 70 team members. In addition, one will be responsible for the production, waste, quality, safety and housekeeping in the department. On a daily basis, must be able to effectively communicate (orally and written) with employees and other departmental personnel. Will take personal responsibility to prevent accidents and injuries by observing established working rules, practice the principles taught in safety training and provide ideas to further strengthen the program. Furthermore, one will be responsible for working in a safe manner to assist the Production Superintendent in the day to day operation within the department.

Primary responsibilities include:
  • Adheres to all Safe Work Practices (SWP) and organizational policies and procedures. Must abide by all safety requirements and attain safety goals.
  • Responsible for ensuring efficiency and waste performance goals are met.
  • Needs to work closely with the Manufacturing Engineering Technical (MET) to ensure mechanical malfunctions are repaired in a timely manner.
  • Reports directly to the Production Manager.
  • Accountable for the growth and discipline of team members and additionally handles all pay disputes and career progressions.
  • Works closely with the Logistics and Planning departments to ensure schedule attainment.
  • Review/generate weekly and daily machine schedule for all shifts.
  • Request/coordinate support from management and plant resources.
  • Manage the activities of their assigned shifts via their Platform Managers.
  • Responsible for submitting input to activity report and running daily team meetings.
  • Administers Company standards and policies (including discipline).
  • Completes team skills assessments and performance reviews for team members.
  • Manage the activities of the Group Leaders who are direct reports.
  • Interacts with Engineering, Planning, Quality Control and Human Resources functions.
  • Candidate must be willing to work night shift.
The ideal candidate should possess the following:
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of 3 to 4 years direct supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, computer skills, reasoning and mathematical skills. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to make decisions in an independent mode, if necessary.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write the English language and perform basic mathematical skills.
  • Must be able to pass minimum required standard on all competency tests.
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral. Proven track record of ability to handle multi-tasks simultaneously.
