Data Entry Clerk



The primary purpose of a Data Entry/HR File Clerk is to perform moderately complex data entry into various systems. The work will include entering data to our recipe files and scanning confidential files into a paperless system. Must be able to type a minimum of 50wpm.

Duties and responsibilities

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • General
  • Observe all store rules and company policies;
  • Greet all customers and provide them with prompt and courteous service or assistance;
  • Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance at all times and observe the company dress code;
  • Perform Data Entry;
  • Assist in price maintenance;
  • Assist in entering schedules;
  • Communicate payroll reports to store managers as designated;
  • Assist in the office/store distribution process;
  • Perform other duties and assignments as directed;

 

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Have a commitment to service, excellence and customer service.
  • Previous related experience is preferred.
  • Must have basic computer skills:
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel and Word is necessary.
  • Must have excellent communication skills.

  • Mathematical Skills:
    • Be able to perform arithmetical calculations at the eighth-grade level in order to handle sales transactions, tender change, and reconciling media with total sales;

    • Ability to hear, speak and understand the spoken word in order to respond promptly to pages for assistance, to accommodate verbal requests from customers for information or assistance, and to be able to communicate effectively with the store’s co-workers and customers;
    • Ability to read, write, analyze, interpret and understand the English language with sufficient proficiency in order to read and understand:
    • Instructions for operating electronic equipment and tools,
    • Company handbooks, policies and procedures, and
    • Other written job related documents including postings on company bulletin boards.
    • Ability to fill out forms properly.
  • Reasoning Ability:
    • Ability to be even-tempered, patient and understanding.
