Pharmacy Technician Clerk - Closed Door

Job Responsibilities

Include but are not limited to the following:

• Receive written prescription or refill requests and verify that information is complete and accurate.
• Prepack bulk medicines, bubble pack medications, fill bottles with prescribed medications, and type and affix labels.
• Answer telephones, responding to questions or requests.
• Maintain proper storage and security conditions for drugs.
• Assist customers by answering simple questions, locating items, or referring them to the pharmacist for medication information.
• Price and file prescriptions that have been filled.
• Establish or maintain patient profiles, including lists of medications taken by individual patients.
• Order, label, and count stock of medications, chemicals, or supplies and enter inventory data into computer.
• Receive and store incoming supplies, verify quantities against invoices, check for outdated medications in current inventory, and inform supervisors of stock needs and shortages.
• Clean and help maintain equipment or work areas and sterilize glassware, according to prescribed methods.
• Opening, counting, barcoding and profiling incoming mail.
• Receiving, verifying and stocking inventory, cleaning engagement in shipping process including package prep for shipment.
• Scanning profiles, correspondence and prescriptions and then filing.
• Pulling hard copy scripts to return to patient with an appropriate letter if pharmacy is unable to fill the order.
• Pack and sort prescription orders.
• Prepare totes for store delivery.
• Unpack and sort incoming deliveries of products and medications.
• Assisting with insurance adjudication, prior authorizations, speaking with patients, doctor's offices if needed.

Specific Pharmacy Technician Clerk requirements:

• Area: Ability to work in the Denver, CO area
• Education : High School Diploma
• Years of experience: 6+ months of recent pharmacy experience within a retail or mail order pharmacy setting OR recent graduate of Pharmacy Technician program
• Schedule: Full-Time, Sunday - Thursday, 4:00pm - 12:30am
• Length of Assignment: Temporary to Hire, Start ASAP
• Pay: Depending on Experience
• Background/drug requirements: Ability to successfully complete background check and drug screen
