Our stores are busy — we’re changing lives every day — and we are looking for a Material Handler for our Goodwill Retail Store and Training Center. Material Handlers at Goodwill are not your typical material handlers. They manage the flow of donation processing by setting up work stations with product and supplies. The ability to anticipate needs and make quick decisions is critical to the role.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assists with the movement of donations throughout the facility with manual and power equipment
  • Unload and load semi-trailers and trucks
  • Work closely with the Production Leader to determine inventory needs
  • Adjust production priority based on donation volume
  • Label and identify storage containers as they move through the facility
  • Loads and operates a trash compactor.
  • Maintains the donation area and other inventory in a clean, neat, and safe manner

What I must bring:

  • Education generally equivalent to a high school diploma is preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience in a retail environment is preferred.
  • Experience of at least a basic level of competency with computers to complete e-learning opportunities and use our intranet, G-Wiz.
  • May require the ability to operate a cash register.
  • Must have good judgment to recognize clothing categories.
  • Must remain productive without direct leadership.
