Position Description:

 General Utility / Storeroom Clerk

ARAMARK                                    

Purpose for the Position:                                                                                                                      

To perform duties which maintain plate & flatware service, utensils, pots & pans, kitchen work areas, dining areas and food service equipment in a clean and orderly condition. To store/stock food products received and maintain the cleanliness of storage areas. On occasion may perform basic food preparation tasks.                                                                                                                         

 

Essential Responsibilities:      

                                                                                                             

  1. To perform sanitation duties which maintain plate & flatware service, utensils, pots & pans, kitchen work areas, dining areas and food service equipment.
  2. Sweep and mop floors.
  3. Separates trash and removes it to designated disposal.
  4. Transfer supplies received to their appropriate storage location area.
  5. Perform “other” job-related duties as assigned by management, which achieve the established goals of ARAMARK and the client.

                                                                                                             

Daily Responsibilities: 

                                                                                                             

  1. Sort, scrape, stack and place soiled dishes and trays on conveyor to dishwashing machine.
  2. Clean and sanitize pots & pans and kitchen utensils following proper three (3) sink compartment method.
  3. Inspect, sort, stack and deliver clean service ware to assigned place.
  4. Clean and sanitize kitchen work areas, dining areas and food service equipment as designated by supervisor.
  5. Power wash, clean and sanitize food service equipment as designated by supervisor.
  6. Filter and clean “ fryer” units as designated by supervisor.
  7. Separates and removes trash and packaging materials to designated disposal.
  8. Sweep and mop floors.
  9. Upon receipt, stores perishable and dry product deliveries in a timely fashion, using FIFO method and dates all containers. Properly handles all food ingredients in accordance to safe food handling techniques, practices and guidelines.

10.  Transfer supplies and equipment by hand or with cart as identified by supervisor.

11. Organize and maintain all storage areas as directed by supervisor.

12. Attend “pre-service” meeting.

Physical Demands:

                                                                                                             

  1. Lifting 50lbs. to 75lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.                                                                                                                                  
  2.
