Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our team on a 12-week contract basis. As a COTA, you will work under the supervision of licensed Occupational Therapists to help patients regain independence and improve their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans based on client needs and goals

- Conduct therapeutic activities and exercises to improve clients' motor skills, dexterity, coordination, and independence for daily living skills

- Monitor and document clients' progress toward goals, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed

- Educate clients and their families on therapeutic techniques and exercises for continued progress outside of therapy sessions

- Collaborate with the Occupational Therapist and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for clients

- Maintain accurate documentation of treatment sessions, progress notes, and billing information

- Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in all aspects of job performance

Qualifications:

- Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program

- Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)

- State licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment

- Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred
