Dog Walker/Driver

We are looking for a regular PACK LEADER for our Monday-Friday morning and afternoon hikes.

A pack leader is a trained dog professional who takes dogs on small group outdoor adventures!

On-call is a good option for dog professionals who are looking to pick up shifts, build their skills, and experience nature. Please do not respond if you board dogs as shifts can be 4-6 hours.

Paws on a Path is a dog hiking and boarding company that has been servicing families in Brentwood, Topanga, Woodland Hills, Malibu, and Malibu West. We are a team of dog experts that safely hike a group of dogs every day.

Responsibilities:

• Pick up dogs in your vehicle, drive group of dogs to the hiking spot, hike dogs (on and off leash), drop dogs off at homes
• Time Management - Showing up on time, picking optimal routes, being flexible with traffic and weather
• Driving/Providing your own transportation for you and the dogs, transporting 1-6 dogs at a time, picking dogs up, dropping dogs off, driving local canyon roads safely. Must have valid US drivers license.
• Dog Awareness - hiking with multiple dogs on/off leash, training/disciplining dogs, trained in dog first aide (overheating, wound care, foxtail removal)

Our ideal candidate:

• Can hold 3+ dogs in their car
• Is available to work at least 4 days a week
• Experience with animal care
• Experience with Dog training
• Excellent and Confident Driver
• Self-motivated, Organized, Friendly, Patient, Communicative
• Confident Driver/Navigator
• Great Team communication

Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Seasonal

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 per week

Experience:

• Dog training: 1 year (Preferred)
• Dog Walking: 5 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)

Work Location: Multiple locations: Malibu, Topanga, Calabasas

Required qualifications:

• Legally authorized to work in the United States

Preferred qualifications:

• 1+ year of experience in the customer service industry
• 21+ years or older
• Medical license/certification: First Aid Certification
• Valid driver's license
• Able to work in an environment with fluctuating temperatures
• Able to stand for duration of shift
• Available to work: early morning
• 3-4 years of total work experience
