Small Fleet Mechanic

We are currently searching for a Small Fleet Mechanic who will be responsible for performing repairs, diagnostic work, and preventative maintenance on small equipment and complete scheduled and unscheduled repairs based on work orders in the repair tracking system.

Responsibilities:

• Perform basic intermediate inspections, preventative maintenance, repairs and replacements following company guidelines on small company equipment.
• Create and process work orders.
• Document repair operations and time-tracking in accordance with company procedures.
• Assist co-workers with diagnostics and repairs.
• Requisition parts through the Purchasing Department.
• Conduct technical inspections and documenting findings.
• Maintain repair order documentation to include repair description, parts used and repair times.
• Perform monthly inventories as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• At least one year of experience with mechanical repair, e.g., automotive, power equipment, refrigeration, small engine
• Or a technical degree with demonstrated knowledge of mechanical repair
• Time management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Must possess own tools

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE)
• At least one year of experience using the Microsoft Office suite of products i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook
• College or technical school-level coursework in automotive maintenance

Required Licenses & Certifications:

• Valid Class C drivers license
• Safe driving record for the past three years

Compensation: We are hiring for all three shifts. $23/hr-$28/hr for the day shift. The 2nd shift, from 2pm-10pm has a $2 differential. The 3rd shift, from 10pm-6am has a $3 differential. Compensation comes with full benefits.
