Job Description
- Understand all aspects of the company’s QMS.
- Develop inspection plans and documentation as well as performing 1st pc, In-Process & Final Inspections.
- Perform 1st pc inspection, In- Process inspection as well as final inspections. Strong visual inspection skills are required.
- Collaborate with machinists on a continuous basis, processing jobs on the shop floor and assisting them with locating any tools needed for inspections.
- Utilize the CMM and all other inspection equipment.
- Identify non-conforming parts per process. Complete required documentation.
- Assist in Corrective action documentation.
- Manual rework may be required when non-conforming parts are identified in quality.
- Communicate factual data, concerns/questions with Management, Supervisors and Teammates.
- Conduct all business interactions in a positive professional manner.
- Follow instructions from all JBT documentation, including Shop Traveler, Inspection Sheets, drawings and specifications.
- Accept responsibility for the quality of products/services provided in accordance with the JBT Quality Manual.
- Maintain assigned work area in a clean and orderly manner and comply with all 5S procedures.
- Conduct all tasks and behaviors in a safe manner and comply with all JBT Machining Safety Policies, including the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, as outlined in the JBT Machining Safety Manual.
- Maintain all required documentation.
- Understand and assist in Calibration record keeping.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Basic knowledge in Inspection
- Strong communication and written skills required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multi-task in a fact paced environment.
- Organizational skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A high school diploma or GED is required. Formal education or experience may be substituted with training when competency in the position is demonstrated.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
This is a safety sensitive position. This work is performed in a manufacturing setting with moderate to high levels of noise due to machinery and equipment processes. This position requires the use of personal protective equipment for safety compliance and may include overtime as deemed necessary by management.
