Job Description
INTRODUCTION TO ROLE
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for supervising the work activities of cleaning personnel to ensure clean, orderly, and attractive rooms and suites at resorts. The supervisor may assign duties, inspect work, investigate housekeeping service and equipment complaints, and take corrective action. The supervisor is also part of the housekeeping team and is also expected to clean. The supervisor may also purchase housekeeping supplies and equipment, take periodic inventories, screen applicants, train new employees, and recommend dismissals.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

- Assigns workers their duties and inspects work for conformance to prescribed standards of cleanliness
- Investigate complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment and take corrective action
- Works with Maintenance to address repairs
- Obtains a list of rooms to be cleaned immediately and a list of prospective check-outs or discharges to prepare work assignments
- Coordinates work activities among departments
- Conducts orientation training and in-service training to explain policies and work procedures and to demonstrate the use and maintenance of equipment
- Performs cleaning duties
- Examines building to determine the need for repairs or replacement of furniture or equipment and makes recommendations to management
- Issues supplies and equipment to workers
- Makes recommendations to improve service and ensure more efficient operation
- Oversee safe use of cleaning equipment and supplies
- Ensure the property is clean, orderly, well-manicured, and always guest-ready.
- In the off-season: take inventory of all cottages; list any repairs and ensure they are addressed. Paint and other cosmetic needs or VR's and BH facilities.
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Provides regular and reliable attendance
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
The Housekeeping Supervisor reports to the General Manager. Oversees the day-to-day responsibilities of the housekeeping staff.
WORKAMPERS
This position is open to a workamper looking for full-time year-round work.
WHAT YOU BRING
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- At least 2+ years of hospitality experience in housekeeping
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee frequently is required to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
The hospitality environment is fast-paced, and at times, you may be required to cover or assist with tasks/job functions outside of the job you were hired for. We require each of our team members to have an All-Hands-On-Deck mindset. This means you may be tasked with other functions and are expected to complete those tasks with the same level of enthusiasm and dedication as you would with your normal job duties.
