Silk Screen Operator

Requirements 

• Preparing materials: Preparing stencils, mixing, and loading ink, and cleaning parts 
• Operating the machine: Installing the silk screen, adjusting the holding fixture, and guiding the machine 
• Maintaining equipment: Troubleshooting issues, repairing equipment, and cleaning the screens 
• Quality control: Inspecting finished products to ensure they meet specifications 
• Record keeping: Keeping records of work completed, job history, and quality standards 
• Working with a variety of materials, such as fabric and plastic

Some skills and qualifications that are useful for a silk screen printer include:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills 
• Ability to stand for long periods of time 

• Ability to lift 25 lbs. or more
