Join a firm that prioritizes client satisfaction and the professional development of its employees, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth through innovative programs and a focus on technological advancement.About the Role:Oversee and approve all tax returns and government tax audits of varying complexity.Act as a subject matter expert in relevant fields or industries.Take full responsibility for larger tax projects, delegating tasks to tax preparers when necessary.Manage client services, either directly or through delegation from the Partner.Supervise and manage government tax audits, including representing clients before tax authorities.Assist with recruitment, performance evaluations, training, and professional development to develop a skilled team.Ensure efficient flow of tax returns through the preparation system, guaranteeing accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery.Manage accurate and timely billing and collection processes.Prepare reports and projects as requested by the partners.Evaluate and recommend tax preparation and research software to partners.Engage in firm practice development through networking, community involvement, and industry activities.Requirements:Thorough knowledge of current tax regulations.Proficiency in computer-based tax preparation, research, and planning software.Flexible to work occasional overtime throughout the year, with significant overtime (up to 55+ hours per week) from January 1 to April 15.Seven to ten years of experience in public accounting, with demonstrated growth in tax complexity, scope, and research.At least two years of experience representing clients before tax authorities.Minimum one year of experience supervising and directing tax preparers.Bachelor’s degree in accounting required; master’s degree in taxation preferred.A minimum of forty hours of continuing education annually to maintain and enhance technical and business skills.A valid Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license and good standing with the American Institute of CPAs.We are excited to connect with you!
