Job Description
SUMMARY
It is the responsibility of the Material Analyst for ordering, maintaining raw and productive inventories as well as updating manufacturing schedules to satisfy customer releases with 100% on-time delivery.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Material Analyst shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following tasks:
· Evaluate customer demand through various release portals and update internal communication systems with latest information daily.
· Add items to the schedule as authorized and directed by the Materials Manager.
· Manage raw and productive inventories by ensuring that databases are accurate.
· Manage vendors by providing them with releases that meet lead times; so, shortages do not occur.
· Evaluate on hand product inventories, to ensure excess quantities do not accumulate.
· Update manufacturing schedules to ensure customer requirements are met with 100% on-time delivery.
· Work with vendors and customers to adjust delivery schedules as necessary.
· Communicate real-time updates to manufacturing requirements to all departments as necessary.
· Interfaces with Program Management, Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing.
· Support IATF/TS16949 initiatives.
· Help define production process parameters to ensure products meet customer specifications.
· Perform Problem-solving Techniques.
· Perform other related duties as required as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
· Requires an Associates Degree in a related field from an accredited college, university, or technical school, or equivalent of 3 years experience and/or training in a production painting environment.
· The candidate must be able to work in both individual and team environments.
· Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, high energy environment.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
· Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
· Proficiency with MS Office Software, aptitude with MS Excel, Access and data entry ability.
· Ability to use e-mail effectively.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are typical to standard office setting with moderate noise levels and high level of activity. The work will mostly be in a climate-controlled environment with occasional work in plant/manufacturing environment. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and fumes. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
