Clinical Role:

- Flexibility to split with outpatient Family Medicine or Internal Medicine if desired
- Pay incentive for extra shifts
- Full-time equivalent = 24 weeks/year
- Well-established Hospitalist program and "Top 100 Rural Hospital in America"
- 162-bed hospital and Level III Trauma Center
- Schedule: 7 on 7 off, 12 hour shifts.
- Hospitalists will cover Med/Surg & ICU, including ventilator co-management with intensivist, RT, and remote support from Duluth
- Current team is 10 physicians and 2 NPs
- Opportunity to teach and precept medical and PA students, and for future program leadership
- 13-16 patients per day, per hospitalist (rounding and admitting)
- Average inpatient practice volume per day: Med Surg-50 / ICU-10. Average daily census on unit: 50-60
- Home to Marilyn Covey Heart & Vascular Center and St. Joseph's Cancer Center
- Certified Primary Stroke Center, co-management with stroke neurology, growing cardiovascular program, and top-performing sepsis care
- Hospitalist team runs codes and rapid responses
- No procedures required (general surgery performs central lines)

- BC/BE Internal Medicine or Hospitalist Residency, or Family Medicine with Hospitalist experience
- Current ACLS Required
- Option for FCCS course for added critical care education
