Reports To: Shift Lead / General Manager

Position Summary:
As a Crew Member at Tropical Smoothie Cafe, you will play a key role in creating an exceptional customer experience by delivering excellent service, preparing delicious smoothies and food, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. We are looking for energetic, motivated individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about delivering top-quality food and service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service:
  • Greet customers with a friendly, positive attitude and provide exceptional service.
  • Take customer orders, accurately enter them into the system, and ensure their needs are met promptly.
  • Address customer concerns or inquiries with professionalism and a focus on problem resolution.
• Food and Smoothie Preparation:
  • Prepare smoothies, food items, and beverages following company recipes and standards.
  • Ensure quality control by preparing products to customer specifications and maintaining food safety standards.
  • Keep workstations clean and stocked, ensuring food items are ready for the next shift.
• Cleaning and Organization:
  • Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the cafe, including dining, kitchen, and restroom areas.
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and wiping down surfaces.
  • Keep all equipment in good working condition and report any maintenance issues to management.
• Teamwork:
  • Collaborate with other crew members to ensure efficient operations and a smooth workflow.
  • Support fellow team members by stepping in when necessary, ensuring all tasks are completed.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management to maintain a positive work environment.
• Cash Handling and Register Operation:
  • Operate the cash register, process transactions, and handle cash, credit, and gift card payments.
  • Follow all company policies for cash handling and maintain an accurate cash drawer.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in food service or customer service is a plus but not required.
• Positive attitude and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic math skills and ability to operate a register and handle cash.
• Must be a team player with a strong work ethic.
• Must be at least 16 years old (age requirement may vary by location).

Working Conditions:

• Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and reaching.
• Fast-paced environment with the need to multitask and maintain focus under pressure.
• Occasionally required to work late nights, weekends, and holidays.
