Job Summary:
The Embroidery Artist/Designer is a key member of our team, responsible for creating precise, visually appealing embroidery designs that uphold the high-quality standards of Global Schoolwear. This role involves converting logos and artwork into embroidery files, collaborating with internal teams, and ensuring each design meets our brand’s promise of excellence. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for detail, technical expertise, and a passion for craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
Digitizing Designs:
- Convert logos, artwork, and text into high-quality embroidery files using digitizing software (e.g. Pulse).
- Adjust stitch types, densities, and sequences to ensure clean, accurate embroidery results on various fabric types.
Design Optimization:
- Ensure designs are optimized for various garment types and materials, balancing visual appeal with stitch efficiency.
- Review and refine existing embroidery files for accuracy and improved production performance.
Quality Assurance:
- Thoroughly check all digitized files to ensure designs are clean, aligned, and meet Global Schoolwear’s quality standards.
- Troubleshoot potential design issues before they reach production, ensuring smooth embroidery execution.
Collaboration & Workflow Support:
- Work closely with the production and design teams to prioritize jobs and meet deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams to ensure all digitized designs meet customer expectations.
- Maintain organized design files and version control for easy retrieval.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 1-3 years of embroidery digitizing experience preferred.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in embroidery digitizing software (Wilcom, Pulse, or comparable).
- Attention to Detail: Ability to create precise designs and catch errors before production.
- Time Management: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Technical Mindset: Understanding of stitch types, fabric behavior, and embroidery best practices.
- Strong Communication: Ability to collaborate with remote team members and adapt to feedback quickly.
