pbABOUT THE ROLE/b/p pThis position reports to the Electrical Supervisor. All duties are performed in a work-safe manner; plant safety rules are followed and individual works as a team member. The primary objective of this position is to perform electrical /maintenance processes through the proper installation, repair and preventative maintenance of plant equipment./p p /p pbWHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH/b/p ul liSafely perform simple to complex electrical repairs and installs within a manufacturing setting./li liUnderstand and comply with Environmental Health amp; Safety (EHS) policies to assure that environment, health and safety are the first priority of the business. Actively support key safety initiatives at the facility, and assist the department as needed to improve EHS performance and results./li liResponsible for planning jobs as needed./li liResponsible for electrical design and installation./li liDocuments new and existing electrical installations as needed./li liRepairs critical equipment with available parts./li liInstalls, repairs, and performs preventative maintenance on all electrical equipment./li liTroubleshoots and repairs PLC and HMI systems./li liEnsures compliance with internal control procedures, unwarranted deviations from established standards, and violations of policy or law./li liAbility to work independently, self-starter, yet able to participate within a team environment./li liAbility to operate equipment effectively./li liMust be able to complete required training./li liMust be able to communicate to multiple levels within the organization./li liMust keep all company property in good working order and clean./li liMust understand equipment functions and processes of the primary areas./li liDemonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors./li /ul p /p pbWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR/b/p pbRequired Education:/b Associate's degree in the electrical or electronics field, or 5+ years of experience/p pbRequired Work Experience:/b 5+ years/p pbRequired License:/b Current electrical journeyperson, or ability to pass journeyperson-level exam/p p /p pAdditional Requirements:/p ul liWorking knowledge of PLC programming, experience with CTI 505 and Allen-Bradley PLCs is preferred./li liKnowledge of HMI programming is preferred./li liElectrical and mechanical skills are required./li liGood communication skills, both written and oral./li liDemonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors./li liSuccessful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests./li /ul
