Load Planner (Supply Chain/Logistics) - Night Shift - Full-time

pstrongLoad Planner/strong/p pstrongLocation: Center Valley, PA./strong/p pstrongShift: Tuesday - Saturday 8:00 pm - 4:30 am/strong/p pstrongPosition Summary:/strong/p pLoad Planners coordinate all processes and functions of freight movement and customer service. Load Planners process customer orders, plan amp; optimize shipments into loads using Transportation Manager System, tender freight to third-party carriers, update the Transportation Manager System with current shipment information and respond to internal and external customer inquiries. Load Planners also provide visibility to management and the customer by tracking, process over-sight, auditing, researching, and troubleshooting operational issues or functions.nbsp;/p pnbsp;/p pbr/nbsp;/p pstrongMajor Responsibilities:/strong/p p- Load-building - Adding shipments to a load, rating a load, securing carrier coverage and appointment setting. Monitoring and resolving MCP email messages. Identify shipping opportunities for improved performance such as: truckload multi-stops, consolidated shipments, etc.nbsp;/p p- Provide excellent Customer Service to assigned account(s)nbsp;/p p- Call Center and shared email box responsibilitynbsp;/p p- Provide visibility to management and the customer by tracking shipments, process over-sight, auditing, load exception investigation, researching and troubleshooting operational issues or functions.nbsp;/p p- Recover customer loadsnbsp;/p p- Complete daily logs and trackers. Bachelor's Degree in Business or Supply Chain Management preferred.nbsp;/pp- One (1) plus year of experience in Transportation/Supply Chain preferrednbsp;/pp- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and sense of urgencynbsp;/pp- Strong written and verbal communication skillsnbsp;/pp- Must be able to learn and regularly operate various computer systems across different platformsnbsp;/pp- Ability to develop and maintain professional working relationships with customers as well as Penske associatesnbsp;/pp- Ability to use critical thinking to analyze information, communicate appropriately, make decisions within the framework of the SOP, solve problems, evaluate results, and determine if further action is needed.nbsp;/pp- Ability to work First, Second and Third shifts as needed.
