Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient-centered care are essential for success in this position.nbsp;brbrbEssential Functions/b/p ul liOperates CT equipment and processing systems to produce high-quality diagnostic images, ensuring compliance with departmental protocols and standards./li liPrepares and positions patients appropriately for CT procedures, using suitable positioning and immobilization techniques based on patient needs and comfort./li liEnsures accurate patient identification, verifies physician orders, and screens patients for contraindications to the examination./li liExplains procedures clearly to patients, addressing questions to alleviate fear and anxiety, and provides instructions during and after the exam./li liCollaborates with radiologists and healthcare team members to ensure accurate, timely, and patient-centered care./li liReviews images for technical accuracy, presents completed studies to the radiologist, and communicates findings to relevant healthcare team members as needed./li liMaintains and performs regular quality control checks on CT equipment, reporting any malfunctions promptly to ensure optimal functionality./li liDocuments patient clinical history and correlates it with imaging studies to support accurate diagnostic interpretation./li liAdheres to safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment, and follows all infection control and radiation safety guidelines./li liPerforms other duties as assigned./li liComplies with all policies and standards./li /ul pbQualifications/b/p ul li1-2 years of clinical experience acquired through an accredited radiologic sciences program required/li li2-4 years of experience as a Computed Tomography Technologist in an acute care hospital setting preferred/li /ul pbKnowledge, Skills and Abilities/b/p ul liProficiency in operating CT equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images./li liAbility to ensure patient safety and comfort while adhering to established protocols./li liSkills in preparing and positioning patients accurately for CT scans, including using safety lifts and/or additional personnel for patient transfers./li liCompetence in maintaining CT equipment and ensuring its proper functioning./li liAbility to collaborate effectively with radiologists and healthcare team members./li liKnowledge of aseptic, surgical, and radiologic techniques./li liStrong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams./li liAbility to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and deliver accurate results under minimal supervision./li liAttention to detail and organizational skills for maintaining accurate documentation and image quality./li /ul pbLicenses and Certifications/b/p ul liLicensed Radiologic Technologist as applicable by state required/li li(R) ARDMS or ARRT - Radiographer preferred/li liCT - Computed Tomography certification or eligibility to obtain within six (6) months of hire required/li liBCLS - Basic Life Support within 90 days of hire requirednbsp;/li /ul pnbsp;/p piTo apply, please email madison_devine@chs.net/i/p pspanINDSURGIMG/span/p
