TOI is changing oncology for the better./p/divp style="text-align: center;"strongNew Grads Welcome/strong/p pstrongJob Description:/strong/p pRadiation Therapist- Covina amp; Pomona clinics/p pstrongPurpose of job:/strong/p pProvides radiation therapy to patients as prescribed by physician according to established standards and practices set forth by The Oncology Institute./p pstrongKey Responsibilities Include:/strong/p ul liDelivering a prescribed and planned course of radiation therapy to patients/li liPrepares treatment room and equipment for patient/li liExplains all procedures answering any follow up questions patients or family members may have/li liMaintains visual and audio communications with patient during treatment/li liObserves the patient for any unusual reactions or events during and after treatment/li liObserves radiation safety measures for patients and personnel/li liMaintain complete and accurate patient records/li liReinforces recommendations given to patients by their healthcare professional concerning reaction to treatment and care for radiated area, prevention, or treatment of generalized and local side effects/li liPerforms simulation procedures as prescribed by physician and assist in dosimetry procedures/li liAssists in research and development directly related to departmental services/li liPerforms daily quality assurance checks on linear accelerators, reporting any variation in morning warm up.
