The American Psychiatric Association Foundation (APAF) seeks a mission driven Non-Profit Management Intern who is passionate about mental health and eager to gain real-world experience working for a non-profit medical association. The Non-Profit Management Intern will support Administrative Management, Mental Health Access, and School/Justice focused initiatives and trainings for the APAF. Responsibilities will include assisting with program planning and implementation, tracking project progress and outcomes, developing program-related materials, and supporting evaluation and reporting efforts.
Qualifications:
- Must be enrolled in college or graduate school
- Strong interest in mental health and non-profit management
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines while producing high-quality work
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Proficiency in Google Workplace
Applicants must be willing to commit to 25-40 virtual or in-person hours per week for the 10-week internship period (approx. May 27 - August 15, 2025).
