AAQ - Gift Shop Team Member - Now Hiring

Join our Dynamic Gift Shop team and be the face of memorable guest experiences! As part of our merchandise division, you'll create a welcoming and efficient shopping atmosphere for visitors both in the Gift Shop and throughout the Aquarium. This dynamic role is perfect for individuals who thrive in fast-paced, high-energy environments and love delivering exceptional service with a smile. Candidates must have full weekend availability.

What you'll do

• Greet guests as they enter the Gift Shop and suggest items to enhance their shopping experience
• Provide fast and friendly service at the cash register at all times, as well as efficient and accurate use of the system
• Clean all areas in the department
• Provide visual merchandising support, stocking, and tagging of merchandise
• Participate in activities outside of the Gift Shop, including cashier sales at kiosks, performing annual inventory, and working at festival events for the Aquarium

What you'll bring

• High School Diploma, preferred but not required
• Ability to work weekends and holidays with occasional evenings
• 6 months - 1-year customer service experience preferred but not required
• Friendly, outgoing, and proactive individual
• Cash handling experience
• Successful completion of pre-employment background check
• Allergies related to animals or plants, which might interfere with the ability to work, must be controlled by medications or protective equipment.
• Ability to remain on feet for long periods of time, climb stairs, bend and stoop, walk long distances
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
