We are currently seeking a highly skilled Welding Technician on the day shift who has proficiency in ARC, MIG, and TIG welding. This role involves maintaining welding equipment and conducting weld repairs to ensure operational efficiency in a safe manner. Located in the southwest suburbs of Atlanta, GA, this position offers an attractive hourly rate, overtime pay, and an excellent benefits package, including a robust 401K with matching.

Salary: Attractive hourly rate with overtime at time and a half

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct ARC, MIG, and TIG welding in all positions, ensuring optimal selection of rods and gases based on the material.
• Perform precise oxy fuel, plasma, and saw cutting operations, adhering to principles to minimize workpiece impact.
• Execute basic to advanced welding fabrication tasks per instructions and blueprints provided.
• Maintain a high standard of safety practices around high-risk equipment and environments.
• Advance from following detailed instructions to independently managing tasks based on experience and skills levels.
• Contribute to ongoing process optimizations and efficiency improvements.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED, with progressive levels requiring up to an Associate's Degree or technical certifications.
• At least 1 to 2 years of related experience for Level I, with up to 6-8 years for Level III positions.
• Able to interpret various documents such as safety rules and operation manuals.
• Proficiency in mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, and establish facts to draw valid conclusions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional certification in ARC, MIG, and TIG welding for advanced levels.
• Proven ability to work under minimal supervision and deliver high performance.
• Experience in managing safety practices and evaluating potential risks in the work environment.
• Skills in troubleshooting and performing complex repairs independently.

Skills:

• Expert knowledge and practical application of welding techniques including ARC, MIG, and TIG.
• Capabilities in using cutting technologies like Oxy Fuel and Plasma effectively.
