Commercial HVAC Technician - 5 Yrs Experience - Earn Up To $45/hour - Fort Lauderdale, FL - Now Hiring

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Commercial HVAC Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong troubleshooting abilities, capable of working independently while providing excellent customer service.

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Commercial HVAC Technician

EPA Universal Certification required

Must have own hand tools; larger tools provided by the company.

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly pay: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour (based on experience & certifications)

Schedule & Work Conditions

• Full-time (40-60 hours per week)
• Monday – Friday, with night work and weekend availability as needed
• On-call rotation required (at least once per month)
• Overtime opportunities available

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain VRV/VRF systems, commercial HVAC equipment, and system controls.
• Work with building automation systems (BAS) and integrate HVAC controls.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
• Collaborate with dispatchers, service coordinators, and project managers to meet customer needs.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal HVAC codes and safety regulations.
• Be available for on-call rotations, weekend work, and overtime as needed.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Commercial HVAC Technician.
• Expertise in VRV/VRF systems, system controls, and advanced diagnostics.
• Experience with air-cooled and water-cooled chillers is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems.
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• Additional certifications (NATE, manufacturer certifications, Journeyman/Contractor License) are a plus.
• Experience with building management systems (BMS/BAS) is a plus.
• Must have own hand tools; larger tools provided by the company.
• Computer proficiency for organizing project paperwork and reports.
• Strong people skills, reliability, and ability to work independently.
• Fluent in English (verbal and written).
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (for company vehicle insurance).
