Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) - Fillmore, CA

An opportunity awaits for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants to support students in their educational and developmental journeys in a K-12 school setting. This contract position is located in Fillmore, CA, for the duration of the school year.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program
• Valid state license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
• Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
• At least one year of recent experience in the field, preferably in a school or pediatric setting
• Ability to pass a prehensive background check
• Continuing education credits as mandated by the state and district

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the delivery of occupational therapy services under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT)
• Implement therapeutic activities and interventions aligned with students educational and developmental goals
• Monitor and document student progress, collaborating with the OT to adjust treatment plans as necessary
• Work alongside teachers, administrators, and parents to prehensively support student needs
• Maintain accurate records in pliance with state and district regulations
