Motor Vehicle Mechanic

Stratitia, Inc. is seeking qualified applicants for Warehouse Specialist at the Cheatham Annex in Williamsburg, VA.

This is a full-time contract position.
Shifts- 7am - 3:30pm - Monday through Friday

Position Description:

The Maintenance Mechanic Automotive Lead Technician directs and performs all levels of preventative maintenance and repairs of CESE. Tasks include performing receipt processing, operational inspections, annual operational testing, preventative maintenance, and repairs of CESE. Identifies damage, through visual inspection, to Civil Engineering Support Equipment; identifies CESE items received or downloaded so the items may be properly managed, maintained, repaired, and/or tested as required; identifies and maintains collateral material associated to CESE assets. Performs a variety of minor repairs and services to maintain motor vehicles. The Automated Worker places and maintains decals on vehicles, checks and replaces batteries, rotates, repairs, and replaces tires, washes, polishes, and cleans interiors and exteriors of vehicles, drains, flushes, and replaces engine, transmission, and differential grease and oils, checks, cleans, calibrates, and replaces spark plugs, cleans and replaces oil and air filters. The Automotive Worker adjusts brakes, replaces windshield wipers, and similar minor parts, assists on major overhaul jobs by disassembling and cleaning parts, repairing components such as generators and water pumps, and replacing thermostats, points, electrical wiring and other items, maintains tools and equipment, and cleans work areas.

Experience: Ten (10) years experience in a variety of diesel vehicle maintenance, testing, evaluation, and repair tasks. Trained and Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certified for diesel vehicles. Diesel mechanic with ASE Certification; Class B CDL with air brake endorsement

The ability to obtain Security Clearance is required. Must be a U.S. citizen. This position is subject to a government-required security vetting process, including background check verification by name and SSN, a Federal Fingerprint check (lifetime), and a Federal Tier 3 background check (SF86/eQIP). Employment is contingent upon successful vetting and acceptance by the government entity (our customer).

Driver's License Requirement: Must possess an active, valid, appropriate driver's license with proof of licensing upon the date of hire and must be maintained.
