Cath Lab Radiology Tech - PRN (8:00 am - 3:30 pm)

Operates specialized equipment for use in diagnostic and vascular test; and therapeutic interventions performed in the Cardiac/Vascular Cath Lab. Scrubs at the tableside and monitors patients as assigned. Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.

Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.CPI recommendedBLS (CPR) ACLS required within 90 days of new employment, and continuous thereafter.Current license/certification by Louisiana State Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners.One year of Cardiac Cath Lab as a Radiology Tech preferred over non-Cath Lab experienced Radiology Tech.Complete understanding of vascular and related organ anatomy.Ability to demonstrate precision and flexibilityAbility to cope with stressful situations.Ability to interact within a variable environment, good team dynamicsDetail Oriented.Ability to keep environment sterile.Tech savvy with equipment.Proficient computer and keyboarding skillsAbility to apply age specific principles of growth and development and life stages to meet each patient’s needs.
