Job Description
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A K-12 school in Floyd, VA is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for an on-site contract position throughout the school year. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional with experience in pediatric and school-based speech-language services, ready to support students communication development in an engaging educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language screenings, evaluations, and assessments for students K-12.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans targeting speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student progress and integrate therapy goals across settings.
- Document student progress and maintain compliance with school and state regulations.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and IEP planning.
Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Experience working with pediatric populations, specifically within school settings.
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred.
- Strong knowledge of K-12 educational practices and IDEA regulations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work on-site in Floyd, VA for the duration of the contract.
