Java Junction Barista - Part-time

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Welcome guests to the store.
• Prepare beverages and serve food products according to department policies and procedures.
• Develop personal, ongoing relationships with customers.
• Float between cashier, barista and other duties as needed.
• Manage cash drawer, and follow all cash handling policies and procedures.
• Stock and organize store as needed.
• Ensure dining area is clean, free of debris and well maintained.
• Prepare product for later shifts.
• Weigh out beans for the rest of the day and the next shift.
• Maintain the look and feel of a well-run store.
• Assist with training new associates.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous barista and/or retail experience helpful (not required).

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ATTRIBUTES

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong problem solving abilities.
• Knowledge of basic retail operations.
• Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work well both individually and as part of a team.
• Self-motivated and dependable.
• Neat, professional appearance.

• Regular attendance and punctuality.
• Able and willing to work any changes in scheduled hours as required.
• Serve as a credit to Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel, and encourage others to do the same.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Normal mobility throughout the facility.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to bend and stoop frequently.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
