Job Opening: Bookkeeper / HR Specialist
Location: Nyack, NY| Job Type: Full-Time

DRPILLA is seeking a highly organized and experienced Bookkeeper/HR
Specialist to oversee both financial and human resources recordkeeping. This
dual-role position requires a detail-oriented professional with strong accounting
and HR administrative skills, capable of working independently while managing
multiple responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Responsibilities:
Maintain and update the general ledger accurately and in a timely manner
Process accounts payable and receivable
Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements
Prepare and process payroll, including related reporting and compliance
Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and tax
regulations
Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures
Maintain accurate and complete financial records
Human Resources Responsibilities:
Administer payroll processing, including tax filings, benefits, and
compliance with relevant laws
Manage employee records and ensure accurate documentation of new
hires, terminations, and promotions
Assist in the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate
screening, and interview scheduling
Support employee onboarding and orientation programs
Maintain and update company HR policies and procedures to comply with
regulations
Track and manage employee leave (sick, vacation, personal)
Facilitate employee performance reviews and goal setting
Assist with employee relations issues, including conflict resolution and
mediation
Coordinate and maintain training and development programs for staff
Qualifications
3+ years of proven experience as a full-charge bookkeeper or in a similar
role
Proven HR experience with a strong understanding of payroll, benefits, and
employee relations
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Unanet) and Microsoft
Office (Word Excel)
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and HR
compliance
Familiarity with payroll processing and tax regulations
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and prioritize tasks
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, HR, or related field is preferred
but not required
